The following represents my philosophy of engagement with indivduals, organisations and policy makers. I am particulary interested in the intersecting space between Maori and Pakeha. The area where blending and clashing between the two paradigm occurs. I use four philosophies to get at topics;
- Matauranga Maori lens
- Decolonising Strategies
- Many Methodologies
- Indigenizing Spaces
Mātauranga Maori lensWhat exactly is Mātauranga Māori? At its most basic principle, it is knowledge accumulated in a Māori way. Through contract research, report writing or workshops, I work with individuals, organizations and groups to give Mātauranga Maori perspectives on a wide variety of topics and situations.

Many Methodologies I am qualitatively trained. I have a method I developed called Rongomātau (sensing the knowing). But my work is mostly transdisciplinary, which means I work closely experts on quantitive methods, especially survey data and scientific measurements. I set out to answer questions, then find the best method to achieve project goals.
